An’t nothing like a Persian wedding! They really know how party and this wedding was no exception. The entire reception consisted of noting but good times and dancing. I loved it! You can hear the women yelling out the Xena cries throughout the day and you can hear them from a mile a way. Awesome. Just awesome. Laleh and Hossein had this wedding at The Parker in Palms Springs, Ca. I had a great time shooting this wedding and I can’t help but feel honored and grateful to be apart of it because the couple was so hospitable. It’s really true that Persian people are some of the most warm and welcoming people out there. Thank you to my friend and awesome photographer, Farhad Samari for letting me shoot at this wedding.

I’ll start off with this getting ready photo of Laleh and her beautiful Vera Wang dress in the background.

Hossein in his pimped out Marc Jacobs suit directly from Marc Jacobs himself! (Laleh works for Marc Jacob).

Here comes the bride! Nervous to see his bride for the first time in her dress. I love doing first looks.

LINDSAY + LAWRENCE | Wedding | Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verdes

They got married in a glass church! How cool is that? This was my frist time at the Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verdes. I was amazed at how beautiful it was. I love shooting in Palos Verdes. Lindsay is from SoCal and Lawrence is from New York. Pretty awesome to see how different people are from each coast. You know Lawrence is rockin that NY accent. ”How you doin?!?” I was helping my friend Jason Q Tran at this awesome wedding. Thanks for having me out Q!

Janice + Kelvin | Engagement Session | UC Davis, California

I met Janice six years ago in an amazing college outreach program called Upward Bound at the UC Davis. Undoubtedly one of the BEST college outreach programs out there in the country. Six years later, Janice is getting married to this handsome lad. I went down to Davis again to photograph their engagement. I’m loving this town. So many places to do cool shots.

Jing + Johnny | La Venta Inn Palos Verdes | Los Angeles, CA

Jing and Johnny had their intimate wedding at La Venta Inn over looking a beautiful view of the beach in Palos Verdes Estates. I fell in love with La Venta Inn when I first saw it. The Spanish style house was built as a priviate residence in the 1920′s. Jing and Johnny’s ceremony was held in La Venta Inn’s outdoor patio where view is just super awesome. You can see the entire city of L.A and Santa Monica! The reception was just a blast to photograph because of the amazingly fun friends and family that Jing and Johnny had. As you can see from the photos, the drinks kept on coming all night long for Johnny. Thank you for having me as your photographer guys! The wedding planner from La Venta Inn did a great job in making this wedding awesome. I can’t wait to photograph a wedding here again. Special thanks to my good friend Conrad Lim for coming out to second shoot this wedding for me.

Michelle + Pete | Pacific Palms Resort Wedding

They’ve been dating for over 15 year before tying the knot. Can someone say finally?! This outdoor wedding was held in the City of Industry in a private ranch called “Lil Suzy”. Cool name.

We were actually granted full access to photograph at the Homestead Museum in the City of Industry. Very few people have been privileged enough to do this.

And after the wedding we had a little fun with the go karts.

Nicole + Logan | SF E-Session | Japanese Tea Garden

Nicole and Logan took me to the Golden Gate Park Japanese garden in San Francisco to shoot their engagement photos. This was actually the first time I’ve ever been inside the garden. I was in awe of how big the space was. Can’t believe I’ve never been inside after all these years.

Nicole and Logan were a super chill couple. I’m excited to shoot their July wedding in the bay. “Hella” excited!

Jing + Johnny | Palos Verdes, La Venta Inn

Kim + Brian | Engagement Session | UC Davis, California

This engagement session was taken at the University of California, Davis and downtown Davis. The last time I took a picture in Davis was about a year ago. I attended UC Davis, so as you can imagine, I’ve taken my fair share of photos there. This time however, my visual perspective of Davis totally changed. I was able to see subjects and light in a whole different… ahhh…light. Amazing how different of a photographer I am from back then.

Anyway, Kim and Brian were awesome to photograph. It’s always a pleasure to photograph a couple that appreciates photography. Kim showed up in a beautiful turquoise dress and Brian was just looking like a rock star. Style + Fun Couple = Great Photos!
