The Palm Event Center

The Palm Event Center in Pleasanton is a great outdoor wedding venue. There are not enough nice things that could be said about The Palm Event Center and its wedding staff. The property itself is gorgeous and beautiful. Wedding ceremonies can take place either inside in the Estate Room or outside in the patio, with the beautiful backdrop of the vineyard. One of my brides had her wedding at Palm Event Center, and I was very impressed with the venue. The drive is less than an hour from San Jose, Stockton, and San Francisco. This beats the two-hour drive for a Napa wedding. However, once we were on the Palm Event Center grounds, I felt like I was a destination wedding.

Approaching the Palm Event Center, I was awestruck by the vines that surrounded the property and how pristine the vineyards were.  Walking into the Palm Event Center, we were greeted with huge barrels of wine and since it is a working winery, the barrels were full of wine! There was a full bar offering soft drinks and juices. During a wedding day, trays of hors d’Oeuvres are passed around as the property manager, Melody O’Shea and her staff work hard to fulfill any wedding wishes that that bride and groom ask for.

If I could recommend one thing for Palm wedding couples to do, it would be to get a day-of coordinator.  Annie is one of the coordinator and she is awesome!  She is super friendly and will be extremely accommodating throughout the whole wedding planning process.  She’ll make the wedding day perfect. The Palm Event Center is not the cheapest venue, but value wise, you won’t be able to find a better location. They get booked up fast for weddings, so you should book it at least a year in advance. As soon as you sign the contract, they’ll surprise you with a complimentary bottle of sparkling champagne for the Mitchell Katz Winery!
